Linear actuator systems for gate valves
Linear actuators for gate valves
Do you require an actuator system for linear acting valves? We supply several linear actuators for -among others- gate valves. Our Lohse actuator systems are modular, which means that all valves can use the same actuator system and that they are interchangable. These actuators can also be used on similar gate valves. The actuators are easy to change, even after delivery.
Handwheel drives with nonrising spindle (HNS)
The handwheel drive with non-rising spindle (type -Hns) is a handwheel in which the spindle does not rise together with the movement of the valve. The handwheel can be used on all Lohse valves and is made of aluminium as standard. If required, the handwheel is available in stainless steel. The use of a handwheel is recommended for sizes from DN50 up to and including DN300.
Handwheels with rising spindle (H)
The handwheel drive with rising spindle (Type -H) is a handwheel in which the spindle rises with the movement of the valve. By doing so, one can visually detect whether the valve is open, closed or in-between. The handwheel can be used on all Lohse valves and is made of aluminium as standard. If required, the handwheel is available in stainless steel. The use of a handwheel is recommended for sizes from DN50 up to and including DN300.
Chain wheel drive (K)
The sprocket-, or chain wheel drive (type -K) is available for applications where the valve is installed high above a floor, but where an automatic operation is undesirable or unnecessary. The chain sprocket is suitable for a chain according to DIN 766A and is automatically fitted with a rising spindle for visual indication of the valve position. The length of the chain can be adjusted to the situation on site.
Handwheels with worm gearbox (GK)
The handwheel gearbox is used whenever the valve is too large to be operated easily with a standard handwheel. The bigger the size, the heavier and time-consuming it becomes to operate with a standard handwheel. This actuator is recommended from diameter DN350 and up. We supply cast iron worm gearboxes of the AUMA brand as standard to ensure the best quality.
Double-acting pneumatic cylinders (P/G)
Lohse double acting pneumatic cylinders (type -P/G) enable users to fully automate a process. The actuators are completely produced in-house at Lohse which implies that customers receive a complete valve-actuator packages which is tested and certified as one product. The actuators are equipped with a NAMUR interface according to VDE/VDI 3845 and with a T-slot for mounting magnetic sensors directly on the actuator housing. If required, we can deliver actuators with adjustable starting- and end positions.
Single-acting pneumatic cylinders (VMF)
Lohse single acting pneumatic cylinders (type -VMF) enable users to fully automate a process. The actuators are completely produced in-house at Lohse which implies that customers receive a complete valve-actuator packages which is tested and certified as one product. The actuators are equipped with a NAMUR interface according to VDE/VDI 3845. Our single acting pneumatics are equipped with a spring to guarantee a fail safe function (fail to open or fail to close).
Electric actuators (E/G)
All Lohse valves are available with an electric actuator (type -E/G). We work together with AUMA as standard, but other manufacturers are available on request. Depending on local requirements, we can deliver a motor including or excluding control unit and with voltage 400VAC, 230VAC or 24VDC. For control valves, electric motors with adjustable operation are possible, with or without fail-safe function.
Square heads for square keys (X)
Lohse valves are available with square keys (type -X). This actuator is used in particular in water treatment. All valves can be equipped with a square head in accordance with DIN 3223 C that can be operated with a DIN 3223 C key. If required, we can supply customised spindle extensions.
